A Fragile Heart (Tales of Tavamara, #6)

Firstborn son of the famed and admired Shahjahan, heir to the throne of Tavamara, Bakhtiar has an easier life than everyone else in the kingdom. Everything and anything he wants is his for the asking-for the taking, many would say. Except understanding. He is painfully aware that everyone finds him lacking in every way that matters, nothing at all like his oh so perfect father and wise, devout mother. Nothing at all like a crown prince should be, and a source of eternal frustration to everyone. He does the best he can, but lately more and more of his things go missing and no one believes him when he says it's not his fault. His beloved concubines have been increasingly withdrawn. The cause closest to his heart is constantly cast aside for more important matters. Every day he fails more, and he's not certain how much more of being a failure he can take...
