A Runaway for the Alien Mercenary

New colony. New life. Lots of cats. Absolutely no men. After her fiancé stole everything she owned and left her in the sights of a crime lord, Blythe has learned her lesson. Men are a liability. So when a suspiciously handsome charter pilot starts flirting with her, she knows exactly what to do. Ignore him. Unfortunately, Rann is difficult to ignore. He's built like a Greek God and annoyingly useful in a fight. He also looks at her like being nearer to fifty than she'd like, bad-tempered, and covered in grease most of the time is exactly his type. Which is utterly ridiculous. He's spent years running. Then one beautiful human engineer gives him a reason to stop. Rann is supposed to be hiding from enemies who would kill him if they discovered where he is. Instead, he hijacks a kidnapping operation, becomes the fake pilot for six human women, and falls head over heels for the one female aboard who wants nothing to do with him. Blythe doesn't need protecting. Rann gets that. Mostly. Yeah, no. Not at all. When the people hunting her close in, he'll fight beside her, behind her or underneath a herd of homicidal goats if necessary. Whatever it takes to keep his female safe. There's just one small problem. She still thinks he's human. Her future has room for a home, her friends and as many cats as she can find. He just needs to convince her there's room for one enormous alien mercenary as well.
