After Hours, Vol. 2

There's always something going on at night. Sooner or later, you'll find your scene. Emi Ashiana is 24, unemployed and not really sure what she wants to do with her life. When a friend invites her to a dance club, Emi doesn't expect much. But what she finds will change her world! A lively, heartfelt story set in the club music scene about a queer young woman coming into her own and finding her place in the world. * Of the many strong debuts of yuri series these past few years, After Hours has stood out as one of the best. Additionally, its debut sales have been stronger than most shonen and shojo series published in our territory. * Releases 2 times a year for 2+ volumes. Series is ongoing. * The success of comic series like Lumberjanes and Jem and cartoon shows like Korra and Steven Universe point to a growing market for nonexplicit queer content. * Despite being a "light" title in terms of content, will likely attract positive press and reviews for being a modern, refreshing romance between two women that defies stereotypes and clichés. * Has a chance to acquire new audiences from the Western comics realm, particularly the feminist readers of Lumberjanes and fans of manga / indie comics like Scott Pilgrim, while also picking up manga fans of yuri-bait series like K-On! and Puella Magi Madoka Magica. * Offering Utena, Sweet Blue Flowers and After Hours in the same year will generate more momentum for all three yuri titles. * Passes the Bechdel test, the Furiosa test and the Lexa Pledge.
