Canopic Jars

Scientific analysis and dating of selected canopic jars from various periods of Ancient Egypt, ranging from the early Old Kingdom to the Ptolemaic Period. Various historically and artistic interesting Canopic Jars are analysed and give a picture of the development of this special burial equipment from Ancient Egypt. Several inscriptions are transcripted and translated. Important and previousely unpublished radiocarbon-dating of selected canopic jars.
