Check-Out is Eleven

The guests should have checked out yesterday. But when vacation-rental inspector Daniel Mercer enters Laurel House, everything says the couple planned to come back. Their clothes remain unpacked. Food is still in the refrigerator. Coffee cups sit on the counter. Their car is gone. Then Daniel discovers several pages hidden behind a couch cushion. Someone has been documenting the couple's movements for days. Every departure. Every return. Every light switched off at night. And at the bottom of the final page: 10:03. Inspector arrived. Daniel looks at his phone. 10:07. Someone is watching him too. The disappearance at Laurel House soon leads Daniel beyond a missing couple and into a twenty-two-year-old secret buried in the mountains above the rental property. But the deeper he looks, the closer the mystery comes to his own family, and someone who has kept the truth hidden for decades has no intention of letting Daniel uncover it now. CHECK-OUT IS ELEVEN is a slow-burning psychological suspense novel about buried secrets, ordinary curiosity, and the terrible consequences of noticing something you were never meant to see.
