Christmas Wishes for the Great Western Railway Girls

The war tightens its grip on Britain as the years progress, and the women of the Great Western Railway works must fight their own battles on the factory floor, in their homes and in their hearts. Lily has to stay strong for her young children while her husband is away at war. Maggie must endure a marriage that's not what she had hoped for and Catherine strives to rebuild her life after loss. As Christmas 1942 approaches, American GIs arrive in Swindon and the women throw themselves into preparing the GWR festive pantomime, finding a new determination to seek joy wherever they can. Together, they discover that laughter, hope and the strongest of friendships can brighten even the darkest days. A heartwarming story of loyalty, love and Christmas cheer in the depths of war.
