Conspiracy Theory

Truth is murder. Bitter and disillusioned, Niall Hamarsson officially quits everything and retreats to the only place he's ever called home, Piedras Island. His plan for the future is vague, but other humans aren't included. Apparently, 'no humans' doesn't extend to Mat Dempsey. Mat Dempsey is a glass-half-full kind of guy. He returned to Piedras after the death of his father, who'd been the sheriff for years. He didn't intend to step into his father's boots, but that's what happened. Is he satisfied? Mostly. Days after Niall's arrival, a young woman's body is discovered in the local marina. It's murder. He's not under suspicion, but Dempsey orders him to stay away from the investigation. He doesn't need Niall muddying the waters. Will his childhood home give Niall the space he needs to lower the walls he's built around himself and heal from his tragic past? Will Mat overcome his guilt about the past so they can move forward? Veiled Intentions is a dual POV, slow-burn, romantic suspense set in three parts with an additional short novel. The romances continue in the West Coast Forensics and Subtle Deceptions series. For fans of atmospheric and moody mm romance, a gripping mystery suspense series you won't be able to put down! There is a dog, it does not die.
