Daughter of the dyer

This story recounts events that occurred between Abu Hamza Ali ibn Sabir and Abu Tha'laba Ziyad ibn Talha. Both were intelligent children, but the former was virtuous while the latter was wicked. As they grew up, each rose to high positions in Baghdad. Abu Hamza became the chief of police, and Abu Tha'laba the governor. Abu Tha'laba managed to depose the successful Abu Hamza through his cunning and intrigues.
