El Desafío de Amar: El Lado B del Amor / The Challenge of Loving: The B Side of Love

ENGLISH DESCRIPTION A different perspective on love. "It's not true that love conquers all. It's not true that someone in love can't cheat. It's not true that romantic relationships shouldn't have boundaries. It's not true that love and desire always go hand in hand. But saying all this isn't true doesn't mean it's impossible," writes Gabriel Rolón in the epilogue of his new book. Far from what one might expect from a book about love, The Challenge of Loving dives deep into the folds of a theme as old as humanity itself: jealousy and desire , infidelity , partnership and sexuality , parent-child relationships , and falling in love and the vain illusion of "forever" . This "B-side of love" questions the clichés we repeat every day--those that often lead us to make misguided decisions that spiral into anguish, pain, and disappointment. Yet, far from a cynical or gloomy stance, the always sharp and lucid voice of the author of Couch Stories sheds light and makes The Challenge of Loving--born from a face-to-face exchange between author and readers-- an essential work for understanding that, despite its rough edges, love is without a doubt the most powerful force in life.
