Fielding, J: Still Life

Poor Casey Marshall is seriously hurt when a car slams into her at fifty miles an hour. Unable to see or communicate, Casey lies in her hospital bed. As the visitors gather at her bedside, she is horrified to discover that her friends aren't necessarily the people she thought them to be - and that her accident might not have been an accident at all. As she struggles to break free from her living death, Casey determines to find out and somehow expose the truth. Whatever it takes. 97818473 97836LangtextCarrie Fisher brings to the page the crazy truth that is her life. She reveals what it was really like to grow up as a Hollywood daughter, come of age on the set of Star Wars and become a cultural icon at the age of nineteen - with no holds barred. It's an incredible tale - from having Elizabeth Taylor as a stepmother, to marrying (and divorcing) Paul Simon. WISHFUL DRINKING is full of Fisher's wonderful self-deprecating wit.
