Gettysburg National Military Park

In July 1863, fighting erupted in the town of Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. The Union and Confederate armies clashed in what would become the bloodiest battle of the American Civil War: the Battle of Gettysburg. The site later became a national park and cemetery. Gettysburg National Military Park provides historical information about the Battle of Gettysburg and an overview of what visitors can see and experience at the park today.
