This book deals with the syntax of Romance languages. Going by the development stages of the generative model, it conducts comparative linguistic analyses of grammatical phenomena like word order and information structure, pronouns, adjective placement, and various subject and infinitive types. Alongside French, Italian, and Spanish, the new edition also systematically considers European and Brazilian Portuguese.
