Gulaabilu -

'A novel that explores the shifting trajectories of consciousness of a middle-class woman in the context of the anti-liquor struggle. This work also looks at the negative impact of economic structural adjustment. "The people of the country really mean women, Dalits, workers, and farmers. It is in the process of fighting for their identities and rights they keep the country safe. It is when they get what they rightly deserve that the country becomes better. I believe our country can trudge in that direction of development. No! development is not only Projects, Factories, Transportation, and Communication. Development really means enlightening exploited people. The measure for progress in society is the awakening of the consciousness of women. As long as such development is seen in this country, we can safely assure ourselves that the country is moving in the right direction." writes Volga in this novel.
