Haakon the Good

A Viking historical adventure of faith, power, and a king torn between two worlds. A prince raised in peace. A kingdom forged in war. Haakon, the youngest son of King Harald Fairhair, is sent to the court of King Aethelstan--far from Norway, far from the life he was born into. In a foreign land, he grows into a skilled warrior, a sharp diplomat, and something rare among Viking kings. A Christian. But when news reaches him of his father's death, Haakon is forced to return home--and face the brother who now rules in blood. Norway is no longer a place for mercy. To claim the throne, Haakon must win over chieftains who distrust him, stand against invading forces, and survive a land where his faith is seen as weakness. To rule, he must choose who he truly is. A king of peace. Or a king of war. Haakon the Good is a fast-paced Viking adventure filled with brutal battles, political intrigue, and a powerful clash of faith and tradition--perfect for readers of Bernard Cornwell, Peter Gibbons, and Tim Hodkinson. ___________________________________________________________________ Praise for the Vikings Of Norway Series: A great book and series... if you are interested in the Viking and Saxon cultures.
