Highlander Bewitched

Uniquely gifted and brave, Georgian Scotland's three MacLeod sisters have managed to both fend off rumors that they are witches and thwart the thieves convinced of hidden treasure within Cairncross Castle, their family fortress-though one by one their hearts are stolen by a trio of sworn protectors . . . Sorcha MacLeod is devastated that she and her sisters will be separated as they attempt to solve the mystery of their late father's alleged treasure. Still, their dire circumstances demand sacrifices. To that end, Sorcha has a secret errand planned that requires her to visit a local village farm with her trained sparrowhawk, Artemis. But first, she must orchestrate a distraction to escape the watchful eye of laird Keir Dunn, who is standing guard . . . Artfully dodging the laird's watchful eye, Sorcha makes her way to the farm. But she's shocked to find the stables on fire. And when Keir arrives just as a mob of enraged villagers descend, amid the smoke and panic a perilous game of cat and mouse ensues. For Keir is as determined to rescue Sorcha as she is to evade him and the throng who will surely charge her with arson. Yet as the danger mounts, and a startling revelation about the treasure is discovered, it becomes clear that Keir and Sorcha must unite to survive-and that their safest place just might be in each other's arms . . .
