I will not be your toy

Jake Davila finished shaving and dabbed on a little cologne, the kind most women would sniff at with great interest. Yes, most women, but not his personal assistant, Marilina Rossi. She habitually wrinkled her nose as if the scent were unpleasant and irritating. Marilina had been his personal assistant for about eighteen months and had proven to be the perfect girl. She followed his instructions to the letter, kept to his professional and social appointments, and even filled in for him when he had other commitments. Jake Davila was a very successful businessman, and all the women were smitten with him except for Marilina Rossi. She knew perfectly well that he preferred slim blondes to curvy brunettes like herself, and that was enough to keep her heart from responding to him. Then Jake asked Marilina to organize his grandfather's eightieth birthday party, and she saw it as the perfect opportunity to show him what he was missing. Her eyes shot him with balls of fire, and he felt it up to his toes. Despite the noise that rose, his intuition told him that his relationship with Marlena had just changed and was forever.
