Kucuradi, I: Ethics and World Problems

In this collection of the papers on Ethics, Ioanna Kuçuradi clarifies concepts related to Ethics as a philosophical discipline, starting with the term 'ethics' itself. She sketches an approach to and in Ethics as knowledge, not as systems of norms, in the light of which she discusses theoretical problems related to the evaluation and value problem we come across everyday in public life and in politics. As a result of this discussion, which makes obsolete the relativism-absolutism debate, she suggests ways which, if followed, promise to make it possible to overcome some of these problems.
