Victor Kloss's The Last Guardian is the fifth book in the Royal Institute of Magic series, an adventure for young readers who love fantastical stories, spellbinding worlds, and unforgettable heroes. Praise for the Royal Institute of Magic series: a cross between Harry Potter and Percy Jackson in that the characters are always on the move at a sort of breathless pace. ... you don't have to be a magical creature to use magic. Cool. Wonderful Read! Not just for kids, adults will enjoy it just as much! ... a great sense of adventure, the story line never lagged, and his characters are well defined. It's kind of like a steam-punk version of magic... ... original with diverse characters and enough action and mystery to entertain teens to adults. It is honestly one of the few books that I have enjoyed as much as Harry Potter.
