Lying

Lying is an amazing phenomenon. This is a wonderful multi-functional tool, having which you can avoid trouble, maintain good relations with loved ones, look better in the eyes of others. Moreover, you can successfully deceive both others and yourself. So is it bad to lie? The famous American writer, scientist and popularizer of science Sam Harris dissects the famous "immortal" sin under a microscope, revealing its negative aspects, and with the help of numerous examples proves to us that a lie, even the smallest one, is a weapon of terrible destructive power. Under his blows, neither authority, nor many years of friendship, nor strong relationships can withstand. You yourself will not notice how, carried away by lies, you will not be able to do without it and lose the most precious thing - the trust of loved ones. The author teaches us not to fall for a lie and convinces us that it is much more profitable to speak the truth openly even in the most difficult situations.
