MANNHEIM!

Mannheim, „the City of the Squares“ on the Rhine and Neckar Rivers, can look back on over 400 years of turbulent history. Even today, we find numerous witnesses to glorious and miserable times and to violent changes as well as continuity into the present. This volume documents how much Mannheim has changed and yet still reflects its past. More than 50 „then and now“ pictures from the same perspective offer a stroll through the city‘s exciting history. Informative texts explain the city‘s development from its founding in 1607 up to the present.
