By popular demand! Back in hardcover, beautifully restored to match the original comics and boasting expanded bonus material! Welcome to Marvel's ReMasterworks! Gathering together to face the evil Loki, Earth's Mightiest Heroes - Iron Man, the Hulk, Ant-Man, the Wasp and Thor - formed the core of the super-team called the Avengers. But it was three issues later when Captain America returned from the frozen depths of the northern Atlantic that the Avengers truly took form! Written by Stan "The Man" Lee, and illustrated by Jack Kirby and Don Heck, here you'll find the first appearances of Kang the Conqueror, Wonder Man, the Space Phantom and Baron Zemo; the debut of the Masters of Evil; and the Hulk's departure from the team and subsequent battle with the Avengers alongside the volatile Sub-Mariner!
