Philosophiegeschichtliches Lexikon

In his ‹Philosophie-geschichtliches Lexikon‹ (Philosophical-historical Lexikon), a work which was greatly admired by experts, Noack (1819-1855) achieved the goal he had set for himself: "to present each thinker from the center of his line of thought.» It is not only the major figures in the history of philosophy who are described using a wide variety of sources but also those figures seen as less important. The detailed bibliographical information provides valuable help.
