Scott Evers: The Dead Passenger

A dead man's identity has just checked a bag. When a man falls inside an international airport, Scott Evers is left with seven travel receipts, an old boarding pass, and a problem no security system wants to admit. One passenger in the paper trail is dead. His loyalty account isn't.His baggage tag is current. And another receipt points to a flight that hasn't happened yet.Working with investigator Claire Ellison, Scott begins pulling at the seams between kiosks, contractor gates, baggage systems, maintenance corridors, old commercial records, and the people who trust a valid screen because everyone else does. The systems behave exactly as designed. Then someone with the right uniform and the wrong purpose comes after the evidence. The deeper Scott goes, the less the case looks like ordinary identity theft. Someone is testing how far a dead passenger can travel through the living world - and learning which doors will still open when his name appears.Scott Evers: The Dead Passenger is a fast, grounded espionage thriller about identity, access, tradecraft, and the dangerous difference between a valid credential and the truth.A complete standalone thriller.
