Somerset Mysteries - A Village Scandal

On the abandoned grounds of an old farm on the edge of Lower Foxdale, a cult-like community, who call themselves the "Children of Avalon", have set up camp. Their arrival has caused quite a stir, and some villagers are up in arms against the self-styled druids. When the deputy chairwoman of the parish council is found murdered at an ancient pagan site, the situation threatens to spiral out of control. For many residents of Foxdale, the only culprit must be among the strange newcomers. Pomona, however, refuses to believe it. Her scepticism prompts June to begin her own investigation, which may - or may not - clear the community of suspicion. About the series: Wondrous gardens, stunning countryside and mystical places are the crowning glories of Somerset. When young Londoner June inherits her aunt's idyllic cottage and bookshop, she is taken by the county's charms and sees the perfect chance for a fresh start. But even in this peaceful corner of southern England, dark secrets lie hidden beneath the surface and murderous crimes crop up... Fortunately, June isn't alone. Always ready to help are her new friends, Pomona, with her love of tarot cards and all things mystical, and the knowledgeable antiquarian, Rufus Whalley. And then there's the rather attractive Detective Sergeant Sean Darcy, whose involvement in the cases soon becomes more than just professional.
