Supply Chain Performance Management

Globalization, shorter product life cycles, and new information technologies – competition takes no longer between companies, but between entire supply chains. Hence there is a need for a synchronized measurement and improvement of supply chain performance occuring, which is a complex construct overall. Supply chain performance management encompasses therefore all methodologies, metrics, processes, systems, and even software applicable to this task. This volume edited by Wolfgang Kersten, Thorsten Blecker, and Matthias Meyer provides information on how to measure and improve the performance of logistics and supply chains by the mean of different strategies, processes, and metrics of an interorganizational performance management.
