The Box in Room 4

Published as part of RP Media's 30th-anniversary series, this book follows Sarah MacRae, a divorced teacher's aide clearing out an empty classroom after a beloved teacher's retirement. There she finds the acceptance letter she never opened, and with it the life she once set aside. Burdened by bills, responsibility, and caregiving, Sarah has become indispensable to everyone but herself. The Box in Room 4 is a quiet, emotionally intelligent story of exhaustion, reinvention, and the dignity of beginning again late.
