The Crime Fiction

A sharp Scottish legal thriller featuring a struggling defence lawyer, a murder case with too many moving parts, and a past that refuses to stay buried. Sometimes the truth is stranger than fiction. And far more dangerous. Short on cash and running out of options, defence lawyer Robbie Munro takes on a job he should refuse. It pulls him straight into the orbit of a master conman and a murder case already on shaky ground. Two students stand accused of killing a local waitress. The evidence is messy. The story keeps shifting. Then Suzie Lake walks back into Robbie's life. A bestselling crime writer with questions he should not answer and a past he cannot ignore. The more Robbie feeds her, the deeper he is dragged into a world of bribery, manipulation, and carefully staged lies. Lines blur. Loyalties shift. Every decision puts Robbie more at risk, including his career and the life he thought he was building. Because in this case, someone is not just rewriting the story. They are deciding how it ends. Crime Fiction is Book 5 in the Robbie Munro Legal Thriller series. Perfect for readers who love John Grisham, Scott Turow, and Michael Connelly. ___________________________________________________________________ Praise for the Best Defence Series: Highly entertaining and ingeniously plotted legal thrillers Funny, gripping, and full of fascinating legal insight A lead character you can't help warming to Well plotted, very readable, and never dull As good as Grisham, if not better Scottish crime fiction at its best
