The Ex-Boyfriend

A gripping psychological thriller from M. A. Hunter. If you like Claire Douglas, this is for you! When Ruby comes home shaking, blood on her hands, she tells her mother Ellie she fought back when her boyfriend Jamie tried to assault her. He fell, hit his head-and isn't moving. Determined to protect her daughter, Ellie insists Ruby did the right thing and promises to keep her safe. But when Jamie is reported missing and the police begin asking questions, Ellie provides an alibi, even as Ruby struggles with the guilt of staying silent. As suspicion grows, Ellie's past resurfaces. Her ex-husband is about to be released from prison for a crime he still claims he didn't commit. With pressure mounting, Ellie will do whatever it takes to protect her family - even if it means getting blood on her hands again. Praise for M. A.
