The Gobbelino London Collection, Books 1-4: A Yorkshire Urban Fantasy Series (Gobbelino London, PI, #0)

"This series gets better with every book, which probably breaks one of the laws of physics or something." - Carol, Amazon reviewer Welcome to the world of G&C London, Leeds' best magical investigators. Technically only magical investigators, but that's basically the same thing. Whether it's a feral book of power determined to tear reality apart, a zombie apocalypse exploding into downtown Leeds, or run-ins with bad-tempered unicorns and alarmingly hungry almost-gods, Gobbelino and Callum are the PIs you want on your side. They may not know what they're doing, but they'll do it with great enthusiasm. If the price is right, of course. A Scourge of Pleasantries "What've we got?" "Tigers. Snakes. Alligators. Tears in the skin of the universe." Susan shrugged. "I think I saw a kraken in the sink, too." Find a missing book. That was the job. Easy money, right? Right. Except the client's a sorcerer, and the book's intent on tearing the world - and us - apart ... A Contagion of Zombies "Zombies don't exist. You told me they don't exist." "There's a corpse clawing its way out of a grave over there. I'm open to the possibility that I may have been wrong." The dead are rising, and if we don't stop them before the infection spreads any further, we're going to be knee-deep in the zombie apocalypse before you can say mmm, brains ... A Complication of Unicorns "Unicorns never were that bright," I said. "That's why they're the only kind to stab their own entire species into extinction." "Not quite the entire species," Callum said. When a man from Callum's past turns up at our door claiming to have lost both the last herd of unicorns in England and his sister, I knew it should be a hard pass. The past has teeth ... A Melee of Mages "We'll do it," Callum said. "Of course we will," I said. "Why would we not stalk the scary magician who might be trying to raise his son from the dead? For free?" Like it or not, when a sorcerer asks you to track a magician, you track a magician. It's that or spend life as a hamster ... "This series is a wonderful combination of humor and suspense that won't let you stop until you've finished the book. Fair warning, don't plan on doing anything else until you're done, since you'll have to figure out how they get out of every new mess they get into." - Rosalie, Amazon reviewer This collection contains the first four books in the Gobbelino London, PI urban fantasy series, centred around the adventures of a mercenary feline PI and his human sidekick. These books feature snarky cats and other gods, many bad jokes and terrible puns, plus a large serving of mythological and real creatures behaving badly. It will appeal to anyone who likes their fantasy funny, modern, and filled with friendship rather than romance - and also to those who suspect their cat may be living a great and secret life when they're not looking (because they are). The Gobbelino London series contains some violence, particularly involving magical ne'er-do-wells and interspecies conflict, but none of it is graphic. It contains no sex and only mild language. It does, however, contain blasphemy.
