The Last Window on Baker Street

Published as part of RP Media's 30th-anniversary series. After her mother's death, Kathy Kovalenko returns to the Baker Street house to help prepare it for sale. Expecting the ordinary work of grief—sorting papers, clearing rooms, managing parish materials, and navigating her brother's urgency—she instead discovers a hidden collection of paintings that suggests her mother's inner life was far larger than anyone in the family understood. A quiet domestic mystery about art, identity, family memory, sibling tension, and the difference between being useful and being known.
