The LIfe and Death of Hiram Abiff

The Third Strike counts the life and death of Hiram Abiff, master craftsman of Solomon's Temple, whose unwavering fidelity to sacred obligation becomes the measure of his final trial. Three impatient workers-Jubelo, Jubela, and Jubelum-driven by envy and thwarted ambition, confront Hiram at three gates, demanding the secrets of his mastery. Refusing to betray his oath, Hiram is struck down and buried in the wilderness. Solomon's investigation uncovers the conspirators and renders a judgment that distinguishes their separate corruptions while refusing both vengeance and false mercy. Each man faces consequences shaped by justice: Jubelo labors under public scrutiny, Jubela confronts the emptiness of his arguments in isolation, and Jubelum bears the weight of repeated testimony. The narrative closes with Amon and the craftsmen resuming their work at Hiram's empty bench, understanding that the Temple's true completion lies not in finished stone but in the living transmission of integrity, self-mastery, and fidelity across generations.
