The Memory Hunters is a haunting story about how we preserve the past, and the cost of clinging too tight.” – The Washington Post HISTORY REMEMBERS . . . BUT BLOOD NEVER FORGETS. Kiana Strade can dive deeper into blood memories than anyone alive. But instead of devoting her talents to the temple, Key is determined to work as an archaeologist for the Museum of Human Memory. Valerian IV’s twin swords protect Key from murderous rivals and her own enthusiasm alike. Vale cares about Key as a friend—and maybe more—but most of all, she needs to keep her job so she can support her family in the storm-torn south. When Key collects a memory that diverges from official history, she drags Vale into her obsessive drive for answers; together, they uncover a betrayal with devastating implications. But soon, Key begins to lose herself in the memory: first moments, then minutes, then days. Key and Vale can remain complicit, or they can jeopardize everything to bring the truth to light. Either way, Key is becoming consumed by the past, and time is running out.
