The mischievous child

Love has a special flavor in this novel, as the love stories in Mario Vargas Llosa's writing are unlike any other. Circumstances, distances, moods, and cities change, but love persists in different forms. And each time, we wonder what will happen when the moment shifts, or the distance between capitals and distant cities changes, and the rhythm of life between a man and a woman shifts.
