*Your first love doesn't have to be your best love* By turns tender and hopeful and searing and spicy, this new book from the author of Tropesick upends the 'first love' trope and tells an altogether more interesting story, of the connections forged after heartache and, perhaps, of the best being yet to come... Greta is a washed-up party girl, forced to move back to her native Miami for the summer after running out of money. Recently divorced and recovering from a mysterious hand injury, childhood friend Nate also finds himself back on Miami's overheated shores. As one long, hot day melts into another, the pair come up with a scheme to fill the time - as a joke, they'll recreate a coming-of-age movie, playing off every tired convention the genre has to offer. But soon real life starts to intrude, and the supposedly light-hearted game becomes all too real, surfacing their deepest shames and their impossible, rapidly growing attachment to each other. Will they each go back to the adult lives they've resigned themselves to? Or is it really never too late to come of age? READERS LOVE TROPESICK ¿¿¿¿¿ 'THE YEARNING.
