Tides of Belonging

Irish nurse Eileen MacCullagh has built her life on precision. Postgraduate studies, a coveted executive role and a future mapped in careful increments. She is organised, ambitious and steady under pressure. When she arrives in Australia for a prestigious medical symposium, she expects long days, strategic conversations, and another careful step up the ladder. Jock was never part of the plan. After a reckless kiss at her sister Kat's wedding nearly a year ago, the Scottish wanderer with salt in his hair and sunlight in his smile, steps back into her world. He still travels light and chases the horizon, and now he is asking her to step beyond the safety of everything she has worked for. Eileen doesn't do impulsive. She doesn't throw away her career on a feeling. But when relentless ambition starts eroding her health and the quiet panic she's been hiding breaks through, success doesn't feel like winning anymore. It feels like she's disappearing, one careful achievement at a time. Jock offers no guarantees, just open roads and the possibility of a future neither planned. As the tide shifts beneath her feet, Eileen must decide whether belonging can be found in the life she intended or the one she never saw coming.
