Undertow: Where Love Becomes Everything

Justin Crawford and Marco Reyes meet at their high school lockers and become inseparable—best friends who share everything except the truth about what they feel. When Marco comes out as gay during their freshman year of college, Justin is forced to confront feelings he's spent years denying. A transformative week at an isolated beach becomes the catalyst for everything: first kiss, first love, first time living authentically in a world that doesn't always accept them. Undertow follows Justin and Marco across four years as they navigate the collision between love and fear—coming out to families who reject them, building visible queer identity on college campuses, and learning that courage isn't the absence of fear but the refusal to let it win. From that first locker-door meeting to adopting their son Leo, this is a story about how love becomes revolutionary when you're willing to risk everything for it. It's about the families we're born into and the ones we build. It's about survival, authenticity, and the radical act of refusing to hide. A contemporary LGBTQ+ romance for anyone who's ever been afraid to love out loud—and found the courage anyway.
