Youcat Confession

YOUCAT Confession helps young people live the Catholic faith better by drawing close to Jesus and his great mercy. This practical guide was created to take away undue anxiety about the sacrament and to show how it works and how you do it. Developed through collaboration between young people and clergy, including those responsible for a popular program for youth of prayer, Eucharistic adoration, and confession that started at World Youth Day in Cologne. With the same appealing YOUCAT style and design, this book is both an introduction to and a companion on the way to receiving the Sacrament of Reconciliation (Confession). This reliable, thorough, and easy-to-understand guide will help you to prepare well and to overcome the fear of confessing. This is a great guide for encouraging students preparing for Confirmation to once again recognize the importance of Confession. The individual lessons can also be used in Youth Groups and Young Adult discussion groups. Key Topics: Going to Confession--Why it's great to seek reconciliation with God. In & Out The Sacrament of Penance How does it work? What do you need? What do you do? Special Prayers for Confession Confession?--Yes, I Can! Questions about Confession Uses: Many of the YOUCAT books can be used as a primary text to guide an entire year of classroom instruction. The sequential progression of the material, mirroring the fourfold structure of the Catechism of the Catholic Church, makes it an easy-to-use text that unfolds with the school year. However, the books are structured so that you can focus only on the key areas that you want to cover. The choice is yours.
