The Mortal Shell (The Sherlock Holmes Advent Calendar: The Arrival of the Saviour, Episode 4)

Brother Peter, the vicar of the Abbey of the Saviour, shows Holmes, Watson and Lestrade to their spartan guest cell – but Holmes still has a few requests. He wants to see the cell of the murdered novice, Brother Emanuel, then the scene of the crime in the foul-smelling latrine, and finally the body, laid out in the ice-cold crypt beneath the monastery. Dr Watson examines the dead man, and Holmes draws astonishing conclusions from a single wound. His verdict leaves even the vicar speechless: this monastery harbours a terrible secret. This radio play was produced with the help of Eleven Labs and using properly licensed voice clones, and was checked by human proofreaders.
