The Veneration of the Virgin (The Sherlock Holmes Advent Calendar: The Arrival of the Saviour, Episode 15)

Simon Taylor came to the Abbey of the Redeemer as Brother Emanuel to look for his missing sister – and that changes everything. Holmes orders silence, even towards Lestrade, and Watson waits in vain for a word of recognition for his trek through the snowstorm. In the abbot's office Watson is drawn into a quarrel over faith: the vicar, Brother Peter, rails against the Anglican "heretics" until a remark about the mule Harry sends him storming out in a rage. Back in the dining hall, Holmes discovers the abbey's astonishing collection of relics in the monastery chronicle – from bone fragments to a vial of Christ's blood. And what might be hidden in the monastery's secret chambers…?This radio play was produced with the help of Eleven Labs and using properly licensed voice clones, and was checked by human proofreaders.
