BattleTech: Shrapnel, Issue #19 (The Official BattleTech Magazine)

LOOK BEFORE YOU LEAP! Shrapnel: The Official BattleTech Magazine is your survival guide through the explosive minefields and incoming missile salvos in pulse-pounding tales of BattleMech combat on the battlefields of the 31st century and beyond! Facing a technologically superior opponent, two mercenaries who hate each other's guts must either work together or die alone. After suffering a bitter defeat, a contingent of Spirit Cats seeks to atone for their failure by retrieving a 'Mech of vital importance to their people, by any means necessary. Former Exarch Damien Redburn offers a MechWarrior from the isolated Republic Remnant the opportunity to strike back at the enemy who humbled her, but will her shot at vengeance be worth the cost? In this issue, you'll go to the Southwest Trinity Worlds, where a bandit raid forces a 'Mech technician into the pilot seat to protect the rest of her unit. You'll wander the forests on the tree-choked planet of Sherwood, where a young lumberjack dreams of victory in arena combat at the controls of his ForestryMech. And in the Deep Periphery, you'll visit Eden, where two former Star League MechWarriors who retired to farm life find themselves caught in the crossfire of the Pentagon Civil War. Navigate the dangers of any battlefield and find your way to victory with tools like a technical article about 'Mech-identification systems, a tribute to the exploits of fallen heroes of the Fronc Reaches' Colonial Marshals, a look at the meaning of chivalry in the Order of the Saber, an in-depth history of the Jade Phoenix OmniMech, unit digests, technical readouts, and more-from BattleTech veterans and the newest recruits: Russell Zimmerman James D.
